Fuze Granted New Patent for Meeting Room Control

Fuze, a cloud-based communications provider for the modern global enterprise, has been awarded a new patent for meeting room control, enabling users to leverage their existing Fuze Mobile application to control seamlessly the in-room meeting experience from their mobile device rather than a traditional fixed tablet or controller.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued Fuze U.S. Patent No. 10999555 on May 4, 2021. Instead of relying on a fixed controller that requires designation of a single “clicker” or passing a device around a room to control aspects of a meeting, this invention grants meeting room controls to multiple participants on their mobile devices to seamlessly manage the meeting experience.

“These next few months will be critical for organizations as they begin to reopen their offices, with many transitioning to a hybrid model of in-person and remote work. The ability to seamlessly control and run meetings regardless of a participant’s location will be essential to a productive and effective flexible work experience,” said Rob Scudiere, president and chief operating officer at Fuze. “At Fuze, we’re committed to continuous innovation to provide the evolving workforce with the tools required to drive deeper collaboration across enterprise organizations.”
