Bandwidth, a global enterprise communications platform and cloud-native carrier, noted that its Duet product was named “Most Innovative Product” in UC Today’s worldwide Unified Communications (UC) space. Judging was based on its ability to “demonstrate innovation, improved experience and execution,” and was overseen by an independent panel of “industry experts.”
“This is great validation of our mission to continue leading with innovative new solutions in a rapidly evolving global communications market,” said Noreen Allen, Bandwidth CMO. “We’re excited to receive the top award in a category that was hotly contested by the leaders in our space.”
Duet for Microsoft Teams was rolled out in July 2020, and provides features for direct routing and E911 for Teams customers, primarily in a work-at-home environment. The solutions are built on Bandwidth’s software-powered, SIP (session initiation protocol)-native network, for PSTN (public switched telephone network) connectivity between leading UCaaS (Unified Communications-as-a-Service) and CCaaS (Contact Center-as-a-Service) platforms.
The news also follows Bandwidth’s July announcement that it will extend Duet to include RingCentral’s Message Video Phone (MVP) platform, for rapidly migrating legacy, on-premise business communications to the cloud.
