Vertiv, a provider of critical digital infrastructure and conti- nuity solutions, introduced the Vertiv Avocent ADX Ecosystem, a next-generation IT management platform that meets the changing needs of the data center. The Avo- cent ADX Ecosystem is a building block of devices and software de- signed for today’s more complex, hybrid network architectures and to meet the demands of remote workforces. The Avocent ADX Ecosystem is designed for use in enterprise, edge, cloud and colocation envi- ronments. It supports a secure and robust remote work experience by allowing workers to access and control data quickly and seamless- ly, such as required by advanced engineering and design, video editing and other high resolution streaming applications. The Avo- cent ADX Ecosystem includes the 4K KVM on a single device with expan- sive management of IT devices. Built on a common architec- ture with open standards, plat- forms and APIs, the Avocent ADX Ecosystem leverages Avocent Core Insight (Avocent ACI) tech- nology to enhance communica- tion to Redfish-enabled devices. These technologies allow Avo- cent ADX to overcome the most persistent obstacles to remote management of distributed and hybrid architectures, including scaling systems to match network growth, enabling secure access for designated users and providing high-resolution video capabilities to match modern technologies, including USB-C connectors. “The system performs with ef- ficiencies and security that will set a new standard for the industry, and is especially efficient for edge deployments, where scale and growth are common challenges,” said the company. Flexxible IT, a digital transformation leader, released FlexxDesktop, a Desktop- as-a-Service (DaaS) solution where edge computing and cloud computing con- verge, allowing virtual desktops to run anywhere or everywhere. FlexxDesktop is available in a subscription pricing model, so it allows enterprises to migrate exist- ing environments to any cloud with ease at a cost that is OPEX friendly. With the end user’s experience at the center, FlexxDesktop offers DaaS on the user’s terms, with no up-front investment, and enables the seamless transition from any platform to any platform, whether the data center or the cloud, said the company. “Flexxible IT has been a leader in the DaaS space since 2008, and we are excit- ed to expand our reach to support cus- tomers staying or moving to any vendor or any cloud,” said Sebastian Prat, CEO at Flexxible IT. “We see FlexxDesktop as the future of DaaS, enabling the enterprise to Vertiv Introduces Digital IT Management Platform for Hybrid Networks FlexxDesktop Optimizes DaaS for Data Centers, Cloud, Edge Cribl Unlocks Power of Observability Data Cribl announced a cloud-man- aged edge architecture for observ- ability pipelines with the release of LogStream Cloud Enterprise Edition. Since October, LogStream Cloud customers with globally distributed organizations could begin to scale their observability infrastructure to secure, manage and process nearly an infinite amount of event data in real time from a single cloud inter- face regardless of where the data are generated. The surge in remote work, in- creasing frequency and complexity of security attacks, and heightened privacy and compliance require- ments are causing a proliferation of machine-generated data. Compa- nies are tasked with trying to collect and process as much of this data as possible without racking up huge costs or increasing complexity, all while optimizing tool usage. Some vendors have introduced cloud- based solutions to try and solve this issue, but they often lack flexibility, don’t scale and contain hidden tran- sit costs and security concerns. LogStream Cloud creates a cloud- managed observability infrastruc- ture by implementing an architec- ture that separates the configura- tion, management, control and policy enforcement from the processing of local data and only exchanges con- trol information with local process- ing nodes through cryptographically secured, zero-trust tunnels. Process- ing nodes operate on data locally, preventing private data from ever leaving the control and premises of the data owner. Cribl’s release also introduces a capability called LogStream Quick- Connect, a point-and-click con- figuration tool that allows users to connect any data source to multiple destinations, including popular tools such as Syslog, Elastic and Splunk, as well as emerging standards such as OpenTelemetry. QuickConnect is available with both LogStream and LogStream Cloud. (Story Continued on pg 31) CONTROL 30 REMOTE WORK SOLUTIONS rwsmagazine.com
