Hughes Network Systems, an EchoStar company and broadband satellite services and managed network solutions provider, has incorporated managed detection and response (MDR) and security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) offerings into its portfolio.
The MDR and SOCaaS offerings provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with “network security expertise from Hughes, plus the benefits of in-house, enterprise-grade protections,” Hughes said.
Hughes’ MDR service automates incident response and threat containment, the company said. It is backed by a team of security professionals. Meanwhile, Hughes’ SOCaaS offering provides SMEs with access to certified SOC analysts who monitor and respond to network threats, the company noted. These analysts provide non-stop support to ensure that SMEs are protected against network attacks.
Furthermore, SMEs can use Hughes’ MDR and SOCaaS offerings in conjunction with one another to get real-time insights into their network security posture, Hughes indicated. They also can work with SOC analysts who will oversee their organizations’ security information and event management (SIEM) operations.
