Gain a Remote Work Edge with Granite’s Portfolio Modern remote-work organizations need every advantage they can gain. By selecting Granite Telecommunications as an MSP partner, they can receive a myriad of services, technology and resources to better manage their assets and capabilities across a large geographic footprint. Traditionally, Granite offers managed voice, data and field services, spanning the U.S. and Canada. Its special focus is helping multi-location enterprises, government agencies and other multi-location organizations better manage network and service needs. To accomplish this, Granite offers solution specialists and a post-sale single point-of-contact to its clients. Through its single pane-of-glass view into inventory, activity and billing, clients are better equipped to incorporate new technology, improve efficiency, cut cost and transform network services. Granite’s proprietary IP network, wireline/wireless provider partnerships and background managing multiple locations make it a real asset for meeting remote work demand. “We can deliver solutions to any location,” said vice president, channels, Charlie Pagliazzo. “In addition to our access offerings, our platform provides corporate and IT operations groups better visibility into – and monitoring for – their networks’ availability and performance.” Take network management. Granite offers multiple SD-WAN solutions that can cater to specific client needs. Whether they’re looking for a cloud-based, on-premises or at-theedge deployment, it works to craft a tailor-made solution that – in the face of complex IT challenges – streamlines headcount, budget and tech rollout. “We know how each location needs to be set up,” said Pagliazzo. “It needs monitoring, because corporate needs to have a real understanding of what’s going on. By offering the most current network solutions, Granite lets clients and prospects have better conversations with their internal customers. Our new solutions over the past year are making a significant difference for our clients.” Another headache for many organizations has been POTS replacement. Unlike many of its competitors that focus on cloud tech in this area, Granite offers the only PSTN-based switch premises technology for POTS replacement. Its Epik wireless POTS replacement solution offers added support for mission-critical services. “You can’t always trust that a cloud only solution is enough,” said Pagliazzo. “Epik is a game changer when it comes to the conversation about ensuring what is truly mission critical maintains an always up status.” Granite also recently unveiled its Edgeboot wireless device. Edgeboot employs NOC technology to let clients remotely reboot any device in need of service. After all, of the thousands of daily trouble tickets Granite’s NOC receives, nearly two-thirds can be resolved with a network reboot. In the coming year, Granite plans to add native calling within Microsoft Teams. Incorporating SIP capabilities within the Microsoft Cloud, customers will be able to use the software as their primary phone system, bolstered by Granite’s unique voice networking capabilities. There’s also an increasing focus on Granite’s fully managed deployment, whereby it lends remote-location connectivity to complement existing monitoring tools and customizable SD-WAN offerings. “Granite is responsible for the single largest SD-WAN rollout in the nation,” Pagliazzo noted. “Thousands of locations, a fullstack SD-WAN implemented efficiently through our proprietary Greenix software. We let technicians communicate with Granite and the client to ensure they have the equipment and access they need. It’s driven down our dispatch times and helped control cost.” Whether an organization needs help managing application performance, network monitoring, server management or another area, Granite helps to provide that proactive edge for IT groups running a remote network. “Look where Granite comes from,” concluded Pagliazzo. “Our roots are in multi-location servicing, TDM POTS lines, PRIs, then cable circuits. The digital transformation we’re seeing is based on new solutions. Granite Telecommunications is at the forefront of that transformation.” J For more information on Granite Telecommunications’ edgeboot product and other services, visit www.granitenet.com/Products/Granite_Guardian#edgeboot.
