CommSafe AI announced the commercial launch of its first-tomarket flagship product, CommSafe AI Safe Communication Software, a SaaS-based product that in near-real-time allows companies to get ahead of threats of conflict and violence in the workplace before they escalate to situations of physical or psychological harm causing costly lawsuits. The tool uses artificial intelligence (AI) models to analyze company communication to identify toxic behaviors and IP loss. The smart and scalable software integrates into a company’s human resource workflow to capture in real time toxic email and chat communications among employees. In addition, CommSafe AI employs algorithms not only to identify toxicity, but also poor sentiments. The company’s software release comes at a time when concern over conflict and violence are at an all-time high in the United States. A recent report, “2021 State of Protective Intelligence Report: The Outlook from Physical Security, Legal, Compliance and Risk Leaders,” showed top concerns for security decision-makers at U.S. companies include a dramatic rise in physical threats, lack of unified intelligence, and physical security challenges brought on by COVID-19. “Increased employee stress and anxiety during the pandemic has seen a dramatic increase in these insider threats,” said Ty Smith founder and CEO of CommSafe AI. For companies and employees worried about privacy concerns, the software does not monitor electronic communications; rather it scans and flags potentially toxic language and poor sentiment. As Smith pointed out, “All flagged messages are reviewed by HR staff to determine the next course of action. Additionally, CommSafe AI works with your organization’s systems and methodologies and easily integrates with your tech, case management system and workflows.” The software has received certification with ServiceNow and integrates with Microsoft products and Google Workspace accounts. “Identifying toxic communications and behaviors are at the forefront of making the workplace a safe space for everyone,” added Sanjit Singh, chief revenue officer at CommSafe AI. “It’s the intelligent solution combining machine learning, human judgment and experience to help identify risks to your employees and the workplace culture.” Companies are increasing their investment in specialty tools to manage the provisioning and on-going administration and performance of their unified communications applications as well as other communication products, according to Metrigy. And these specialized tools are leading to savings due to reductions in support and on-going operating costs, show figures from the research firm. The use of specialty management tools results in an average reduction of 31 percent in provisioning time, and a nearly 16 percent average reduction in mean time to repair. These savings are primarily achieved via automation, re-delegating administrative tasks to help desks, and centralizing the management of multi-vendor environments into a single management platform, said Metrigy researchers. Among adopters surveyed by Metrigy, 73 percent cited more visibility into app performance. About half of respondents said they use UC management tools to help with remote worker provisioning, while about four in 10 use them to improve remote worker app utilization. About the same percentage is using the tools for network performance. “IT leaders must invest in capabilities that enable insight into home employee application performance, and that allow home workers to identify and address potential networkrelated issues,” said the Metrigy report. That includes tools that optimize provisioning and support of remote workers including number assignment move/add/ change management, and selfservice tools to enable remote employees to make changes to their profiles, reset passwords or reassign themselves into different call groups as role change, the report continued.
